- Llicorella is the name of the unique soil found in the Priorat wine region of Spain, and is a key factor in the production of the region's wines. The soil is made up of a mix of broken slate and quartz, and is found on steep hillsides in the region. The name llicorella comes from the Catalan word for "licorice", which refers to the dark color of the soil.
- Harvest: Hand-harvested with rigorous second and third selection at the winery
- Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks
- Aging: 4 to 6 months in a combination of concrete tank, large oak vats, and used French oak barrels
